Las Sendas Golf Course
Located in Mesa and engineered by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. in 1995. Its an award winning golfing experience by any standards and has a premier Golf Academy on site. The instructors follow a set of clearly laid out principles which give their uniform approach a trustworthy predictability. Each teacher must be professionally trained as both an instructor and player, and be well versed in golfing etiquette (especially for training the junior students). Most importantly, the progress of each student is measured with video technology - nothing builds confidence like seeing personal advancement on tape! This method also helps keep the students' weak areas in check. You can book your tee times online, but you must call or email Las Sendas to arrange golf lessons. The website features online-only specials, an email club, and information about becoming a member at the golf course.

Lake Powell National Golf Course
Situated a couple of hours north of Flagstaff, in the lakeside city of Page, Arizona. The area is a hidden gem, and so is this under rated 18 hole course. It first opened in the mid-1990's and offers players who seek championship golf, as well as other outdoor recreational activities, a memorable round, and not just for the scenery, the golf course itself is an excellent design. However the stunning placement of the course on top of a mesa gives it a breathtaking view of the Glen Canyon Dam, Lake Powell, and the Vermillion Cliffs. William Phillips did a superb job of highlighting the striking red rocks, and of using the naturally occurring dramatic elevation changes. Facilities include a popular grill, a proshop, and if you seek golf instruction the teachers at Lake Powell Golf Course are available for private or group lessons. Website features a scorecard and hole by hole details. Book a golf package today, you'll be glad you did...

With that said, golfers will still find some classic desert vegetation, including well-loved arroyos, and pleasing weather 365 days a year.
